Bethe-Salpeter equation and a nonperturbative quark-gluon vertex
A Ward-Takahashi identity preserving Bethe-Salpeter kernel can always be calculated explicitly from a dressed-quark-gluon vertex whose diagrammatic content is enumerable. We illustrate that fact using a vertex obtained via the complete resummation of dressed-gluon ladders. While this vertex is planar, the vertex-consistent kernel is nonplanar and that is true for any dressed vertex. In an exemp...
متن کاملGeneralized Instantaneous Bethe–Salpeter Equation and Exact Quark Propagators
Assuming all interactions to be instantaneous and the exact fermion propagator S to be approximately given by iS−1(p)= A(p2) p/−B(p2), i.e., with its scalar functions A and B depending only on p, a three-dimensional reduction of the homogeneous Bethe–Salpeter equation retaining, in contrast to the Salpeter equation, the exact propagators (crucial for, e.g., a proper incorporation of dynamical c...

متن کاملLight-Front Bethe-Salpeter Equation
A three-dimensional reduction of the two-particle Bethe-Salpeter equation is proposed. The proposed reduction is in the framework of light-front dynamics. It yields auxiliary quantities for the transition matrix and the bound state. The arising effective interaction can be perturbatively expanded according to the number of particles exchanged at a given light-front time. An example suggests tha...
متن کاملOn the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation
We present a systematic algebraic and numerical investigation of the instantaneous Bethe-Salpeter equation. Emphasis is placed on confining interaction kernels of the Lorentz scalar, time component vector, and full vector types. We explore stability of the solutions and Regge behavior for each of these interactions, and conclude that only time component vector confinement leads to normal Regge ...
